Rebecca Hitch, was born in the UK, and is now living with her family on a farm in Eston, South Africa. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and currently teaches at a local school. Fumbling Feet is her first book, inspired by her son who has faced tremendous difficulties and who, despite having a physical disability, is learning to celebrate his strengths. This book was written with the hope that other children could likewise be encouraged to overcome their own challenges.
Claire Norden specializes in children’s book illustration and has made a name for herself in the field. Her bold, colourful artwork is bright and cheerful and is enjoyed by many young readers. After completing a B-Tech Degree in Graphic Design at the Durban University of Technology, Claire began working in the publishing industry. She illustrated her first book in 2006 and has since illustrated more than a dozen books, which have been successfully published in both English and Afrikaans. Claire currently lives with her family and two dogs in Durban in sunny South Africa.
